Minn. Gov. Pawlenty in Arkansas
Minnesota Governor and rumored presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty is in Arkansas today to speak at the Republican Party of Arkansas’ Governor’s Dinner this evening at 7.
Pawlenty will be the keynote speaker and will discuss both local and national political issues, according to a news release from the state GOP. He also will present the “Hi, I’m Frank White” award given annually to an outstanding Arkansas Republican.
State party chairman Doyle Webb is also scheduled to speak.
Pawlenty has declared that he will not run for re-election as governor of Minnesota in 2012, fueling speculation that he is considering a run at the White House. He has not definitively stated his intentions one way or the other but also has not closed any doors.
