Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Arkansas next month as a special guest of U.S. Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., at her 2010 campaign kick-off.  

 The $150 a person event will be held March 14 at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock. Lincoln is seeking a third six-year term in the U.S. Senate next year.

 Biden and Lincoln are friends and former Senate colleagues.

 Says Lincoln: “Joe and (wife) Jill have been great friends to (husband) Steve and I since I came to the Senate and I’ve always admired their commitment to their family throughout a very public career in the Senate.

 “The vice president’s values are consistent with the values of most Arkansas families and I look forward to welcoming him to Little Rock next month.”
