Gas operators scholarship
That announcement of scholarships by natural gas operators canceled due to the threat of bad weather is on again.
It’ll be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the University of Arkansas System headquarters in Little Rock. Companies working in the natural gas industry in the Fayetteville Shale play are to announce a major contribution to the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s petroleum technology program.
UA President B. Alan Sugg will be on hand, as will state Senate President Pro Tem Bob Johnson of Bigelow, UACCM Chancellor Nathan Crook and students, faculty and staff from the community college.
The Fayetteville Shale Scholarship Fund is a volunteer organization with members representing companies working in the Fayetteville Shale.
