This from Sen. Shane Broadway of Bryant for colleagues undecided on allegiances during the next Army-Navy gridiron showdown.

Broadway advised from the Senate floor today that one of his constituents, Benton High football standout Tony Swopes, has signed to play football at the Naval Academy. The senator noted just how difficult it is to even get recommended to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Then for colleagues needing further incentive, Broadway introduced Swopes’ mother — Angie Clingmon, the Senate’s fiscal officer.
